Vogel tells Barney that the history of guns is the history of America, going from colonial muskets to the atomic bomb, which has made all other guns obsolete. Little Useless Gun: Luger dismisses the old-timey dueling pistol as a "sissy little peashooter", but Wojo says that it was loaded and it works, and he's disturbed at how Luger just grabbed the gun.Vogel takes one look at it says "That's Betty." I Call It "Vera": Wojo comes back in the squad room toting a bazooka taken from the bank robbery.He tells Barney that "the history of guns is the history of America". Vogel is friendly and mild-mannered, but he's utterly obsessed with guns and weaponry. Luger tells Barney that Wojo was wrong, that although he is depressed about getting busted back to captain, he doesn't want to die. Wojo thinks that Luger, who is depressed about his demotion and always natters on about how his buddies were killed in the line of duty, may have wanted to get shot. Death Seeker: Luger walked straight up to an armed robber, who was pointing an old but very real gun at him, and pulled it right out of his hand.Continuity Nod: The story about Luger getting demoted and sent to the 12th Precinct, previously mentioned in episodes 13 and 14 of this season, is returned to.Barney is surprised at himself for not being more surprised.
